Paperless Office Seminar Descriptions

Seminars are for clients that own, are considering, or are implementing The Paperless Office system.   The Shelton, CT sessions are often scheduled from 6:00PM to 9:00PM EST so as to minimize the impact on working practices.   Web auditing/attendance is available starting at 6:30PM (EST).   Light dinner/refreshments are provided at 6:00PM.

These seminars will demonstrate the ‘Total Solution’ (the flow from scheduling, Paperless Office, to Billing) and practice controls as an overview.   New features, how to implement common functions easily, such as scanning, creating encounter note ‘check box’ screens, setting up evals, implementing redundant letters and forms will be demonstrated.    Each 2008 session will illustrate touch screens (for speed of note taking) and will discuss the Check-in Kiosk.   Seminar sessions provide introductory training and exposure to various topics and tools. The sessions will show how to use and implement, but will not dwell on questions or details at the level of the workshops.

The focus of the sessions will be on clinical functions such as note taking and encounter support.  For notes, prominent disciplines will be selected (appropriate for the mix of attendees) for each seminar as examples.   Attendees will be given a template CD as part of the seminar fee, and will be shown how to add them to your own screens.

New features that affect how to create and send billing information as a bi-product of generating the notes will be reviewed and demonstrated.

These seminars are fast-paced, and are intended for clinical personnel, doctors, and office managers.   If you own CSC software, you should attend this at least once per year!  Discounts are available for multiple people attending from the same practice.

SEMINAR - WEB Auditing/Attendance

These sessions can be viewed from your office for a small additional fee which covers the seminar software setup and testing.    Web attendees must have speakers on their computer or be prepared to dial a session phone number to hear the live audio feed.   Any number of people can watch at your site.  You cannot ask questions or interrupt the speaker during the session, but you can accumulate the questions and call in subsequently to have any questions answered.   Refunds are only issued if the seminar is cancelled or there is a technical problem with our seminar equipment and cannot be issued if you fail to attend or are not on-line at the seminar start.  If you are unable to join once the seminar starts, assistance will not be provided, so make sure you are on-line by the start of the seminar.

If you need accommodations, you can stay in Shelton, Trumbull, or Fairfield, CT.  A few of the closest hotels are listed below.

OTHER TRAINING  -  Not On The Schedule

New Feature Classes (CSC Appointments & Paperless Office Software) - Free.   These are offered following major new upgrade releases to users that are on support.   These classes are only offered in the Internet Webinar format and demonstrate newly released features.  These classes are free, are usually offered multiple times per day, and last about 1 ½ hours.  The schedule is included in the upgrade paperwork.

Audit New Account Training Sessions for Paperless Office ($50/Session).  New accounts are being implemented and trained daily.    Some trainers will permit class auditing via the Web.   These reasonably-priced sessions are about two hours in length.   You can hear the trainer, the students, and watch the screens.   These are wonderful refreshers for existing users.   Practices auditing a session cannot ask questions or interrupt, but can accumulate questions and ask at a later time if the questions were not answered.   New practices and users learn at a different pace, so there is no warranty that the subjects you are interested in will be covered.   You must have a valid CSC Support Agreement in force to exercise this option.  Auditing fees are only refunded if the CSC conference equipment does not work or if the class is not conducted.   Paperless Office sessions are broken down, generally into the following categories (see user manual training checklist for details):

  1. Session 1 – Overview, introduction to clinical screens, how to clean up the check box screens and make elementary changes to verbiage, format, etc.
  2. Session 2 – Review homework.   If successful, move into more complicated modifications to templates, creation of new templates.  Review the flow.  Start doing at least 5 notes per day.
  3. Session 3 – If notes successful, review complete flow of notes for daily visits, move into evals and show how to create.    Create Evals templates and reports.
  4. Session 4 – Review evals, start using.   Show how to use Template Builder and create MS Word format templates.  Answer any remaining questions.   May discuss voice recognition.

To audit training, you must call so we can match a training session to your schedule and the requested session number (1, 2, 3 or 4).
